In my head, Kemptville is divided into 3 sections:
43 (Highway 43) which is where the heavy traffic passes through a series of round-abouts, to either pass through Kemptville, or stop briefly at some of the basic necessities shops. The Independent (grocery store), or the Food Basics (also a grocery store), various gas stations, Shoppers Drug Mart, Home Hardware, Canadian Tire, various other strip-mall shops, McDonald's, and the infamous Tim Horton's.
The Triangle, which consist of some homes, The LCBO, Beer Store, Mac's, Giant Tiger, a diner, and another grocery store (B&H I believe). Where the triangle meets the next part of Kemptville (44), you will find a few pubs and restaurants, a variety store, a used furniture store, a bakery,a few motels, and a new lingerie store. Also if you continue west down this road, you will come across a series of churches.
44 (Highway 44, or Prescott) is the part of Kempville I enjoy the most. Although quite a few of the store fronts are currently vacant, something about this area just feels right. Has that small town charm about it, that I was so desperately looking for. I also find that I have the most reason to be here. My daughter and I enjoy spending time at Cheeky Monkey, an indoor playground for children, complete with snack bar. There is also To Be Continued, a small consignment store geared towards families with children, that has an awesome selection of clothes and toys for tots.
44 is also where you'll find Scotia Bank, CIBC, a thrift shop, 2 pizza places, the library, the public high school, and the Kemptville University campus.
There are other shops and whatnot around, I assure you, like The Bead Store (also on 44) but I thought for the time being, I'd focus on what's been relevant to me so far. As I experience new places, and enjoy the services these business have to offer, I will keep you updated.

Introduction
Hello all,
My family and I just moved to North Grenville in September 2009. A series of unfortunate events in Toronto, turned out to be a blessing in disguise giving us the opportunity to leave the big city behind us.
Slowly, we are creating a new life for ourselves in this beautiful place we now call home, and I've decided to write about our experiences and discoveries.
If you're new to the area too, I hope you find this helpful. Or if you are familiar with the area, please feel free to leave comment on anything you believe to be relevant.
Sincerely,
April
